It's a boy!!!

Okay, here it is, the news we've all been waiting for... Alli will be having a baby brother! We are very excited (especially Daddy) and I think I'm still having a hard time believing it. But, it was quite obvious. Our little guy was very cooperative for his pictures and put it all out there for us! Too cute. Oh yes, I guess I should also mention that everything checked out ok with the sonogram. The measurements, organs, etc were all normal- even better news!! God is good!! The sonogram tech pieced together 2 sonogram pictures to form a whole baby shot. Check out those sharp facial features- you think he'll look like Daddy? And of course, the little white arrow is pointing to "it"In case you couldn't see it in the first pic, here it is again. The tech helped out by drawing the hiney cheeks in. That's a femur at the top of the screen and between the legs... well, you know!
Alli is going to be a great big sister and little helper by the way. She is already practicing by taking dirty diapers to the trash can. She just started doing it one day- what a smart girl! I just love her so much. It's hard to believe there will be room in my heart for another one, but I know there will be. It's sooo amazing!

Tupperware Party

Alli decided to have her very own little tupperware party in the kitchen yesterday. While it created a few extra dishes to be washed, it kept her occupied and in one place for 15-20 minutes! That allowed me time to fold some laundry in peace and for that I was grateful (I really don't ask for much)! Not to mention, I just couldn't ruin her fun- and she sure was having fun...

Lots of sorting to be done! What fun!

And yes, she even tried to put it all back in the cabinet- a difficult task with limited cabinet space. Trust me, I know. It takes some creativity sometimes :-)

Wait a minute, wasn't all that put up just a minute ago? That's a little more than just tupperware and a few more extra dirty dishes than I had bargained for. Oh well, what a wonderful, peaceful 15 minutes that was!

Catch of the Day

As much as Daddy would like to say that this was Alli's first catch, it wasn't. She just isn't old enough yet, but Daddy is counting the days. He just can't wait for her to become his fishing buddy (she better like to fish!) She does have a life jacket even though she has never even been on the boat while it's afloat. Maybe she'll get to use it eventually.
These were the bass Daddy caught during Saturday's fishing trip. There probably would have been more if the weather hadn't run him off the lake. That's ok, we'll make a meal out of it anyway!

She does seem to be interested in the fish at least.

The first thing she did when Dad layed the fish down in front of her was touch it's eyeball- eeeeuuu GROSS.
